Suggestions for museum etiquette

In an effort to provide each of our patrons with a remarkable museum experience – please review and follow this list of museum etiquette guidelines:

  • Running inside the museum creates a safety issue and is not appropriate
  • Use furniture (benches) properly
  • Loud voices distract other patrons, please use a quiet voice
  • Please do not touch exhibits
  • Please stay behind all ropes and exhibit barriers.
  • Parents, please consistently supervise your children - unattended children may be injured or cause damage to valuable exhibits
  • Finally, please take a moment and visit with your children about proper behavior in the museum.  Everyone’s experience improves when proper museum etiquette is followed.
  • Thank you for your ongoing efforts to properly care for the museum’s remarkable resources!
